Introduction to Pipe Making

Where fire meets function!

Step into the world of functional glass art in this 4-week intensive flameworking course focused on pipe making. Students will learn the fundamentals of working with borosilicate glass at the torch, including heat control, shaping, sealing, and color application while creating beautifully crafted functional pieces.

The course begins with torch safety, studio practices, and foundational exercises before progressing into introductory pipe forms such as spoons and chillums. Ideal for beginners and returning students alike.

Each class is 3 hours long and meets once a week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Sundays: July 19th, 26th, August 2nd and August 9th, 6pm – 9pm.

Free Open Studio Days are included in your registration. Throughout the duration of the course and with teacher approval, students can book a three hour time slot in the studio once a week to work on class projects or additional pieces. $650 + booking fee.
