In this 8 Week Introductory Glassblowing Course, students will begin their glass journey by learning the basics of working with 2100 degree molten glass. Traditional techniques of gathering and shaping the glass are learned before moving on to creating various blown shapes like cups, bowls, plates, bottles and more.
Class size is currently limited to six students and two instructors. Working in two groups of three students, everyone will try their hand at creating forms while having fun in a creative and supportive environment. Introductory glassblowing processes will allow students to form a solid foundation of working with hot glass.
Class meets once a week for 8 consecutive weeks. We will post here when our next class is available. $1100, all materials included.
