Growing Glass

Explore organic forms using molten glass in this one day introductory glassblowing course.

Students will learn about color application and glass shaping as they are guided through making a plethora of vibrate glass flowers.

Perfect for indoor or outdoor decorations, these flowers will add a summery touch to any environment!

Glass is the perfect material to capture the refraction and flickering of a candlelight.

Teen Summer Program

10:00am to 3:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break  

1st week: July 10-14; glassblowing
2nd week: July 17-21; 3 days of neon, 2 days of flameworking 

1st week: August 7-11; glassblowing
2nd week: August 14-18; 3 days of neon, 2 days of flameworking

Sundae Bowl Workshop

Get ready for New York’s hot summer by creating your very own hand-blown icecream bowl! You will learn how to gather, blow glass, and add colors of your choice. 

Students can expect to make 2 bowls each per 5-hour workshop. 

No experience required – great for beginners!

Summer Sun Catcher

Add a little sparkle to your life with a glass blown sun catcher, hung from your window, or your ceiling. Glass is the perfect material to capture the light of summertime, throwing beautiful colorful shapes and shadows all around the room as the day progresses. 

 Beer Mug Making

Students will begin to learn about the fluid nature of glass by working directly with the 2100 degree molten glass to form and shape it into a hand crafted beer mug. Each student should expect a hands-on experience and to work as team to help complete their projects. No experience necessary.

Brooklyn Glass Gift Certificates can be purchased in any amount for any of the services offered in the studio, including group lessons, private lessons, equipment or space rental. 

Gift certificates validity is one year from the purchase date, and must be presented at the time of use.
